Lawelty is a membership and coordination company for drivers in Ontario. It vets and coordinates independent licensed paralegals and pays the paralegal professional fees that are expressly included in a member's plan.

Lawelty is not a law firm or paralegal firm, does not provide legal advice or representation, and is not an insurer.

You pay a fixed monthly fee based on your selected plan. If an eligible traffic-related matter arises after your membership becomes active, Lawelty coordinates an independent licensed paralegal and pays the professional fees included in your selected plan, subject to plan limits, exclusions, conflicts, provider availability and acceptance.

The structure is designed to make legal support more predictable, accessible, and easier to manage.

Your membership provides access to a structured legal support process for eligible traffic-related matters, coordinated through independent licensed paralegals within the limits of your selected plan.

This includes:

• Case intake and onboarding
• Coordination with an independent licensed paralegal throughout the process
• Preparation of your matter by the engaged paralegal
• Initial court appearance by the engaged paralegal
• Up to two additional court appearances, if required and included in your plan

Within the scope of your plan, the independent paralegal handles the legal work and Lawelty handles coordination and payment of the included paralegal fees. Fines, government or court charges, taxes, disbursements and out-of-scope work are not included unless expressly stated.

No. Lawelty does not appear in court. An independent licensed paralegal may represent you after accepting the matter and entering any required separate retainer with you. Lawelty coordinates and pays the included paralegal fees within the limits of your Plan Schedule.

Incident consultations are scheduled calls with an independent licensed paralegal, focused specifically on your ticket or case. During these case-related consultations, you can ask questions, understand your situation, and get guidance on the next steps specifically related to your matter.
Consultation limits may include:

• Basic: up to 5 consultations per year
• Extended: up to 10 consultations per year
• Commercial (Light Vehicle): up to 15 consultations
• Commercial (Heavy Vehicle): up to 20 consultations

Each consultation is up to 20 minutes and may be conducted by phone or online.

General consultations refer to legal guidance provided by licensed paralegals based on their professional knowledge within their licensed scope. These are typically used for general questions, clarification, or direction on traffic-related matters, rather than a structured scheduled consultation.
Availability and inclusion of general consultations depend on your selected plan.

A consultation is:

• up to 20 minutes long
• conducted by phone or online
• available for both existing and potential traffic-related situations within the scope of your selected plan
• focused on general guidance and case-related questions within the licensed scope of paralegals

Yes. If your plan includes consultations, you may use them to speak with an independent licensed paralegal about potential traffic-related situations, understand possible risks, and learn how the process works if an issue arises.

These consultations are intended for general guidance and do not involve representation or active case handling.

No. Outcomes depend on the facts, applicable law and the decision-maker. Neither Lawelty nor an independent paralegal guarantees dismissal, reduction, lower insurance costs or another outcome.

Traditional legal services can involve a large upfront retainer and costs that are difficult to plan for after a ticket occurs. Lawelty offers a membership model for eligible Ontario traffic matters. With Lawelty, you get:

Not at all. When an eligible need arises, Lawelty coordinates an independent licensed paralegal and the paralegal explains the professional services they have agreed to provide.

At this time, Lawelty focuses on traffic-related matters in Ontario. Services are limited to the scope of your selected plan.

Lawelty focuses on eligible Ontario traffic matters listed in its Plan Schedules. Independent licensed paralegals provide professional services within their permitted scope, while Lawelty coordinates access and pays the included fees.

Certain matters are not included in any Lawelty membership and require separate legal services. These may include:

• Criminal Code offences
• Stunt driving, unless a Plan Schedule expressly includes limited support
• Matters involving bodily injury or death
• Civil liability or insurance-related claims
• Federal or regulatory compliance matters outside the supported scope
• Cargo, overweight, or dangerous goods violations
• AZ/DZ or commercial regulatory matters outside the applicable plan scope
• Other matters excluded under applicable regulations or plan limitations

Your membership becomes active once:

• All required information is submitted
• You personally accept the Member Service Agreement and review your selected or quoted plan details
• Payment is successfully processed

Only matters that arise after activation and fall within your selected plan are eligible for service coordination.

Yes. You may cancel your membership in accordance with the applicable terms. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Email contact@lawelty.ca. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, subject to the Member Service Agreement and any rights that cannot be limited by law.

You can submit a request at any time, but Lawelty is not an emergency or deadline service. Until a paralegal confirms an engagement, you remain responsible for every ticket response, filing deadline and court date. Seek immediate legal help if a deadline is urgent.

Contact Lawelty so the request can be reviewed. If it falls outside your plan, any optional service and its price must be separately disclosed and accepted. You may decline it.

Contact Lawelty to ask whether a plan change is available. Its timing, price and effect on eligibility will be confirmed before the change takes effect.

Lawelty currently supports Ontario traffic-related matters only. Matters outside Ontario may not be eligible.

You may cancel your membership at any time in accordance with the applicable terms. Refunds are generally not provided unless required by law or explicitly stated.

No emergency response is promised. Tell us about a deadline, but do not rely on Lawelty to preserve it. Until a paralegal confirms the engagement, you remain responsible for court dates, ticket responses and other deadlines.

Lawelty handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

You can sign up directly on the website, create a profile, personally accept the Member Service Agreement, select a plan and complete payment. You may instead use an agent invitation and confirm its quoted plan. An invitation is optional for the customer, but is used when a referring agent is to receive commission under the separate agent agreement.
