Lawelty is an Ontario traffic-support membership and coordination company. We vet independent licensed paralegals, coordinate access when an eligible need arises and pay the paralegal professional fees included in the member's plan. Lawelty is not a law firm, paralegal firm or insurer and does not give legal advice or representation.
You may enroll directly through the website or through an agent invitation. You create a profile, personally accept the Member Service Agreement, review and choose or confirm a plan, and complete payment. The membership renews monthly. If an eligible traffic matter arises after activation, Lawelty coordinates an independent paralegal and pays the professional fees included in your plan, subject to its limits, exclusions, provider availability and acceptance.
Your monthly membership includes Lawelty coordination and the listed paralegal professional fees for eligible traffic matters within your Plan Schedule. Benefits may include:
Case intake and onboarding
Coordination with an independent licensed paralegal
Matter preparation by the engaged paralegal
An initial court appearance by the engaged paralegal, where required
Up to two additional court appearances, if required and within the plan
No. Lawelty does not appear in court. An independent paralegal licensed by the Law Society of Ontario may represent you after accepting the engagement and entering any required separate retainer with you. Court appearances are subject to your Plan Schedule.
An initial court appearance means the engaged licensed paralegal attends the first required court appearance covered by the plan. The steps taken and legal strategy remain the paralegal's independent professional responsibility.
Matter preparation is performed by the engaged paralegal and may include:
Reviewing the charge
Reviewing relevant documents
Preparing the matter within the paralegal’s professional judgment and permitted scope
Incident consultations are scheduled calls of up to 20 minutes with an independent licensed paralegal about an eligible ticket or matter. Annual limits depend on the selected plan.
No. Results depend on the facts, applicable law and the decision-maker. Neither Lawelty nor an independent paralegal guarantees dismissal, reduction, lower insurance costs or another outcome.
Eligible services depend on the Plan Schedule presented before purchase:
Basic plan focuses on common traffic offences
Extended plan addresses broader traffic-related matters
Light Commercial Vehicle plan is designed for commercial driving-related matters
Commercial Heavy Vehicle plan is designed for listed heavy-commercial vehicle matters
Stunt driving is not included unless the Plan Schedule expressly states that limited support applies
Rideshare, delivery and other light-commercial matters require the Commercial Light Vehicle plan. Truck and heavy-commercial matters require the Commercial Heavy Vehicle plan. Basic and Extended are intended for private, non-commercial driving.
If your plan includes general consultations, Lawelty can coordinate a conversation with a licensed paralegal about an Ontario traffic-law question within the paralegal's permitted scope.

Yes. Email contact@lawelty.ca. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, subject to the Member Service Agreement and rights that cannot be limited by law.
